DAVID JONES WINTER 2011
Last night David Jones hosted its biannual collections launch- showcasing the winter trends- and naturally it drew a crowd. Retracing its roots, the parade was held in the purposely rebuilt Level 8 of the Elizabeth Street store, where designers lead the pack along side numerous celebrities and fashion industry heavy weights. I loved the classic mix of men’s wear- carried on the backs of the cities hottest models- but there was nothing too daring of course (never forgetting its core customer base). For a company that seems prone to the odd controversy of late, the evening went down without a hitch- well done DJ’s!
