STOLEN GOODS: KSUBI

HOT PANTS? Over the past weekend, Ksubi’s warehouse in Roseberry became the victim of crime.

Thieves knew exactly what they were doing, cutting a hole in the warehouse ceiling- Mission Impossible style- dropping through the second floor office directly above the alarm, then disabling it. So Tom Cruise.

A company van was then highjacked, and loaded up with the brands latest collection (WAR AW12- a best seller currently dropping in stores) appearing as though these denim junkies had a target in mind. The van was later found burnt out in Glebe- burnt out cars are so Inner West.

Earlier this week, Ksubi co founder George Gorrow claimed the final loss was still undetermined but could potentially be in excess of $1 million. He highlighted that some entire styles had been stolen-  which will no longer be available anywhere else- making the theft easier to detect.

  • It’s bad enough that the crime took place, but for someone to do that to local designers? Grrr…
