DOLCE & GABBANA: High drama prevailed at Dolce this AW- drawing obvious reference from turn of the century theatre- it was a collection built for the Phantom of the Opera. Village like sunday best, including heavy knitwear and baggy woollen pants mixed with highly ornate embroidered capes and jackets tipped me over the edge. A collection that strikes more notes in the costume department than wearability- The only redeeming feature would have to be the silk pyjama ensembles. Surprising?
