Wednesday: Shares on the the ASX have closed slightly lower in trading today, the market supported by strong gains in Telstra, but investors still showing caution over unrest in Korea. Closing 1.5% higher, Telstra received positive news with the government announcing it could complete the NBN an estimated $7 Billion cheaper, with politicians now backing the telco’s participation in the build. The telecommunications sector rose 1.3%, while materials and financial names fell 0.1%.  The market traded 2.64 billion shares- 460 closed up, 627 down and 397 were left unchanged.
